Este 10 de marzo llegaran 5,000 dosis a Galápagos

El presidente del Consejo de Gobierno de Galápagos, Norman Wray, anuncio, este 9 de marzo de 2021, que la provincia de Galápagos iniciara con la fase uno del Plan Vacunarse, en la que se dará prioridad a los grupos vulnerables, como: personal de salud aun no inmunizado, adultos mayores, policías, militares, bomberos, recolectores de basura, sectores estratégicos, funcionarios de la Fiscalía y de la Judicatura.

Mañana llegaran 5,000 dosis con lo que cubriremos en 48 horas, a todos los grupos de la primera fase” indico.

El anuncio se dio en el marco de los acercamientos que se han dado entre el ministro Norman Wray y los representantes de los GADS con el presidente Lenin Moreno, quienes a través de una solicitud escrita expusieron la necesidad de que se priorice a la provincia de Galápagos en el plan de Vacunación contra el COVID-19.

Ministro Norman agrego que, al cumplir con la fase 1 el mensaje al mundo es positivo. “Galápagos es una provincia que ha demostrado un manejo importante del control de la pandemia y será la primera que concluya con esta fase.”

Las dosis se distribuirán en las islas: Santa Cruz, Cristóbal, Isabela y Floreana, y con esto, se cubrirá el 13% de la población y al 100% del grupo objetivo.

“Tal como lo estamos llevando, esperemos que la cobertura se amplié en los próximos meses para las personas mayores de 18 años,” culmino el ministro Wray.

The announcement was made within the framework of the approaches that have taken place between Minister Norman Wray and the representatives of the GADS with President Lenin Moreno, who through a written request exposed the need to prioritize the province of Galapagos in the Vaccination plan against COVID-19.

Minister Norman added that, by complying with phase 1, the message to the world is positive. “Galapagos is a province that has demonstrated significant management of pandemic control and will be the first to conclude this phase.”

The doses will be distributed in the islands: Santa Cruz, Cristóbal, Isabela and Floreana, and with this, 13% of the population and 100% of the target group will be covered.

“As we conduct this phase, we hope that the coverage will be expanded in the coming months for people over 18 years old,” concluded Minister Wray.
