The best of Ecuadorian specialty coffee was presented at the “Global Coffee – Specialty Coffee Cupping Introduction Meeting” , held in the city of Canton. The Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries, through the Commercial Office of Ecuador in Canton, was in charge of its promotion.
This event, organized by the Guangzhou City Coffee Association, was attended by renowned local Q-Graders, baristas and industry experts, who tasted more than 50 specialty coffee samples from producing countries such as Indonesia, Rwanda, Mexico, Ecuador and Venezuela.
Ecuador participated with samples of roasted specialty coffee from the Galapagos and the Andes region , which obtained excellent reviews from the judges and experts who participated in the cupping.
At the same time, the head of the Commercial Office, Paul Peñaherrera, made a presentation on the relevance and recognition of Ecuadorian coffee in the South of China, before importers, distributors, roasters, members of associations, owners of coffee shops and the specialized press.
