Investigators from Pontificia University Javeriana Release New Data on Beetle Research [New Distribution Records and Host Plant Associations of Bruchinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) In the Galapagos Islands, With a Revised Checklist of Species and Their Associated Host Plants]

According to news originating from Bogota, Colombia, by NewsRx correspondents, research stated, “Two new distribution records for species of Bruchinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) from the Galapagos Islands are reported and discussed: Acanthoscelides machala (Johnson, 1990), and Acanthoscelides macrophthalmus (Schaeffer, 1907).”
