Travelers with international arrivals who are entering Ecuador must present a vaccination card – from either single dose vaccine or double dose vaccine – which has a completed dose schedule fourteen days before the arrival of the flight in order to enter Ecuador without supporting test results. This is part of the new biosafety measures that are registered in protocols of the Ministry of Public Health (MSP).

According to the document of the National Undersecretariat of Public Health Surveillance, it is explained that any person entering continental Ecuador by international air must necessarily present the negative result of a negative RT-PCR test or negative antigen test (nasopharyngeal swab) collected within 72 hours before arrival, or present a vaccination card against COVID-19 with a dose schedule completed at least fourteen days to be considered valid.

This measure was applied since July 1, when this guideline for international flights came into effect. Yesterday, dozens of people arrived in Guayaquil on flights from Spain, the United States, Bogotá and Panama.
