Interactive: Tracking Migratory Species from Darwin Island to Cocos Island (2018, 2021)

🟢 TRACKING MIGRATORY SPECIES 🟢

Following the recent news regarding the near-real time tracking of Cassiopeia, the female hammerhead shark, from Darwin Island to Cocos Island, check out the research findings from @crpenaherrera and @migramar in 2018.

Using satelitte transmitters, researchers were able to track a hammerhead shark from Darwin Island en route to Cocos Island and continuing further to Malpelo.

Both the recent findings with Cassiopeia and the ongoing work of @Migramar reinforce the vulnerability of endangered migratory species, such as the tiburón martillo
